Vehicular Animal Abuse-Dedicated to the Fuck That Killed Our Dog.

Thank you-

You piece of shit-you killed our "Angel". Your car must have been to blame, it couldn't have been you. There is no way you would ever hurt a living creature, intentionally. It was unintentional-I know, how dare I insinuate that there was even the slightest misbehavior involved. Careless is a dirty word, you are right-I guess you were carefully unintentional in the vehicular slaughter of our family member.

Fuck yourself.

Didn't even leave a note. Couldn't even scoop her off the road. You were going to be late for work, why else would it have happened? Bet you were on time though, well that's good her death wasn't for nothing. I bet you were nursing a nasty hangover this morning when you decided to sleep in past the alarm (making you late), and how dare this small elderly dog cuts in front of you!? Hold up-

"Sorry I have call coming in from work-"

"How dare I answer my phone while I am driving?! Well, how am I supposed to remind you to pick the kids up after work?! Idiot, of course I need to remind you-what if something happens!? What if they are waiting for us by the school and they happen to cross the road when-"

Ya. Fuck you.

Letter to the Editor. "Haldimand Press" and "The Sachem" (Dunnville)

I am currently trying to get an article submitted to the Haldimand Press and/or Dunnville Sachem. I wrote a letter to the editor in regards to the untimely death of our family member, "Angel" a dog with a sweet smile and a large amount of people/friends who will deeply miss her.

If the article is not published I will post it up here in the "Thanks Page" as a Eulogy for our dear canine companion.

"I have written a letter to the editor, I kept it as short and sweet as possible without revealing too much personal information (I really hope that this piece could be published). For the sake of knowing, (as I didn't put details in the piece) our family's long time life companion-Angel was hit by a car. Many animals are hit by cars everyday, many family pets pass away everyday, but this animal was special for a number of reasons-and however old she was, she was healthy and well, probably had a few more happy years left in her as well. I wouldn't be writing a letter to the editor if my parents had the peace of mind that it was an accident and someone felt as equally bad about doing it as my parents were to find her corpse on the road like a common piece of roadkill. But, that is exactly it-someone who was being careless hit an aged dog and just kept going. They didn't stop to check, leave a sorry note, nothing. Probably some young jackass with more important things to worry about. Nonetheless, had it been a small child-an elderly citizen, would this person have stopped? That is a bit of the kick in the pants. People think, "well, its just a dog," but is it "just a dog?" Not even for the disrespect shown towards the family that rescued and saved her, but what would have happened had this jackass hit a person? Is our community that rural that we should feel unsafe crossing the roads just because no one is there to catch us when we do something wrong? I don't want or expect police to sit near the house because a dog was hit, I don't want compensation, or even an apology (a letter of condolence would be nice for my parent's heartache though),  I am just looking to let people know that when you are on the road, walking down the street-our actions do impact those around us. We may at times, have the cowardly ability to not empathize what may happen after-but it could very well happen to you, and until it does, you really will never know how heartbreaking it is."

My Son, Sam Salvatore Shan Bono

Sam,

I know by the time you actually know how to access this and read it you will be thinking "Geez, Even when Dad isn't around he talks too much."

I Love You son.

At this point its Jan/11/2019, its a tough time for your Ma and I right now because we are making arrangements to move back to Canada-regardless of the cost. Just want to make sure when we go back that we are giving you the life you deserve. You know your Ma and Pa grew up happy-Your Grandparents gave us all we ever could have wanted or needed-until we had you. Nothing has ever been the same or sane since you have been born. Then again, your ol'Pa here was never right in the head to begin with and your Ma is a nut in her own way as well, so-I guess we are fitting parents.

I'm sitting here listening to the Lumineers and all I can think about as I am marking essays about Jamaica Kincaid's "A Small Place" (please tell me I read this to you...) is how thankful I am that you are in the other room sleeping right now (just kidding)-how lucky I and your mother are that you came into our lives.

Thank you for giving your Dad a purpose here buddy-

Love ya.

Dad.

P.S. You don't believe its really me? Well, hey, you can read about it in one of the two blue books I left for ya to read about your Dad's adventures.
